Last week we did the normal rat race stuff including baseball and tennis, but we were also busy preparing for Derek's "Lego" birthday party. Helen and the boys made a "Lego" pinata and birthday cake.
The party itinerary that Derek laid out worked out great. The boys did a "free build" while they waited for everyone to arrive. Followed by a contest to build the best space ship and a "brick toss" contest. Then the cake and ice cream and it was over.
Adam's friend, Ryan, came over to keep Adam company. Helen's brother Mike, his wife Chris, and baby Lindsay were there to celebrate as well. Chris blogged about the party here.
