Another long midnight wait for the bus

Thursday May 28, 2009

My how time flies! By this time we were wondering where all the time went. It seemed like we were just arriving at Disney World with all the time in world ahead of us. Now we were trying to figure out how to fit in all the stuff we still wanted to do.

The kids loved the water parks when we went back in 2007. They kept asking when we were going to go this time around. On Thursday, we finally made it to Blizzard Beach. The kids like the slides alright (not the big ones), but they love the lazy rivers and wave pools and spend most of their time alternating between them.

After the water park, we cleaned up and headed over to Epcot for a dinner reservation at The Garden Grill. It's a character meal and another repeat from our trip in 2007. It was really good again.

After dinner we rode Soarin, which is our favorite ride in Disney World, and a number of other rides before catching the Illuminations fireworks show around the lake. We made our way over to the World Showcase and checked out a bunch of the pavilions we've never been to. There were some really unexpectedly fun rides and entertainment in the pavilions.

We shut Epcot down and, once again, had another looong post-midnight wait for a bus to take us back to the Wilderness Lodge.
