We had a very nice Columbus Day weekend. The weather was beautiful and we got caught up on some things around the house. Helen and the kids were off yesterday and went shopping for Halloween costumes.
I'm still trying to catch up on summer blogging. Those lazy days seem so long ago compared to the whirlwind of fall. Helen is still irritated that they made the teachers cover the Homecoming dance this past Saturday night on their long furlough day weekend. It seems there is no limit to how much they are willing to squeeze the teachers.
These pictures are from a trip that Helen and the kids made to Andretti's this past summer. They had a great time and keep asking us to go back. They want to see me in one of the go carts. Helen always hears from other teachers and mom's how they dread the summer and can't wait for the kids to go back to school. We just don't understand that. The summers and outings like these are what recharges us and makes the rest of year palatable.
