Adam and Derek trying to select the perfect lure
Breakfast in the morning
Adam fishes at the notorious spot where Helen's brother, Paul, slipped and tumbled into the water Our niece, Brooke, enjoying breakfast Adam and cousin, Lindsay, going on a walk around the campground Adam brought his army men and set up some battles. Lindsay wanted to help but Adam wasn't too interested. Derek and I walked to the river to watch the people tubing Derek and Adam love the freedom of riding their bikes all around the campground Uncle Mike and the kids play some games Adam spent a lot of time at the creek near our campsite playing around and catching things Adam makes his way across the river to watch me fishHelen captured this picture of a snake not too far from where she had just been sitting
Mike helps Lindsay set up to fish So cute Derek fishing nearby I know there's fish in here somewhere. Derek and I caught 4 or 5 small trout but that was it. Derek and Adam ready to go tubing. Too bad we didn't take the camera. It was a fun trip with lots of nice scenery. The best part of camping - the smores Brooke and Daddy enjoying their smores Adam and Derek trying to get settled in the tent Helen and Derek enjoying the peaceful early morning Adam would not wake up. All the activity wore him out. Nice view of the river in the morning Derek and I got some more fishing in before everyone got up Everyone's up now and ready for breakfast Lindsay watches little sister, Brooke, show off her casting technique Uncle Paul with the girls in the morning after his fall with a bump on his head and bandaged wrist Little Brooke Enjoying a picnic lunch at the pavilion overlooking the river The kids couldn't resist playing in the water while they waited for everyone to pack up
Friday July 23 - Sunday July 25
Each summer we try to do a camping trip with Helen's family. This year we went to Toccoa Valley Campground in Blue Ridge, Georgia. It's always nice to see everyone and the kids absolutely love it.
