4 years ago (Derek just turned 5 and Adam is almost 2)Adam turned 6 on Friday April 11. Years ago, Helen and I would lament how fast it's all going and that we were going to blink and the boys would be 9 and 6...that day has arrived.
We celebrated Adam's birthday with the immediate family on the Friday before his actual birthday since we were headed to the beach for Spring Break. We got Adam a Nintendo DS Lite and a couple games (Mario Kart and Cooking Mama 2) . With the DS you can play games head to head with other DS consoles, so we figured that Derek and Adam would enjoy playing against each other on the car ride to the beach. We also got him a skateboard. It was an inexpensive one from Target, so the wheels don't roll very well which is ok with us, but might prove to be too irritating for him to enjoy it.
