We stopped by this little Amish store for some pumpkin whoopie pies and chocolate chip cookies
Amish buggies in Pennsylvania Dutch Country
Not quite sure what was going on here - the supplies in this buggy didn't look very "Amish" to me
We stopped in the cute town of Lititz for lunch at a quaint little cafe
After lunch we walked across the street to the Wilbur Chocolate Company for a brief tour of their store and to take in the delicious chocolate aromas
Chocolatetown USA - Hershey Pennsylvania
Gotta love the Hershey Kiss lamp posts
Hershey Chocolate Factory
Hersheypark, Chocolate World - it's all kind of confusing
Hersheypark Amusement Park
The Hershey factory tour has been replaced by Chocolate World
Chocolate World has a Disney like ride that takes you through the candy making process and you get free samples at the end!
Chocolate World was nicely done with plenty of opportunities to buy Hershey products
Checking out the hermit crabs
Herhseypark is a water park as well as an amusement park. We hit the water park first.
We must have put the camera in the locker at the water park because we don't have many pictures of the amusement rides
There were a number of good rides. The Fahrenheit roller coaster was different in that it has a hill that is almost straight up and down and it's the up part that's the scariest.

We had originally planned to visit Philadelphia on this trip, but we didn't have time. We discussed whether we still wanted to push ourselves and try to see Hershey Pennsylvania and Gettysburg or take some time and be more leisurely about our return home. We decided to go for it.
So we headed up I-83 from Baltimore to Pennsylvania. I wanted to see some Pennsylvania Dutch Country on the way to Hershey Pennsylvania. We stopped by the Mennonite Information Center in Lancaster County to look around and see a well done documentary called "Who Are The Amish".
We drove through Lancaster County and saw several Amish buggies along the way. Some were tourists taking buggy rides, but some were real Amish going about their daily lives. I didn't want to be "too touristy" and take a bunch of pictures. It just didn't feel right. The area was pretty with lots of farms and cute little towns.
We stopped for lunch at a quaint cafe in the cute town of Lititz before heading to Hershey Pennsylvania. Hershey is a nice town with Hershey chocolate influence everywhere. We drove around the town and through the beautiful grounds of the Milton Hershey School, which looks like a college campus.
We were confused by all the different signs to all the different Hershey related attractions and went around in circles for a little while before finally finding Hershey's Chocolate World and Hersheypark. We had a great time. The attractions were a lot of fun and we wish we could have spent more time. We closed Hersheypark down and then drove about an hour south to the Hampton Inn in Gettysburg.
